Today I have been researching literary agents.  It is frustrating because 10 years ago when I first was writing children's picture books, you didn't need an agent to get your work seen.  Now it seems as if it is a neccesity.  If only I had been talented then and were able to score a book deal!  Timing is everything, I hear.

I'm so sorry to be missing the SCBWI LA Conference.   The lecturer list is impressive and I know the information presented will be immeasurable.  If someone is taking notes, I'd like a copy please! :)

It's getting late.  Back to my research.

I can't believe I have joined the masses and have my own site.  I used to think blogging was self-servicing for the brain, in PUBLIC, no less!  Now I can see how this is part of networking, and I can work with other writers, sharing experiences and ideas.

I have spent so much time this evening putting together my website, that I should keep this first blog brief.  Night!
